Ride-Along Program
What is it?
The Indiana State Police Ride-Along Program offers citizens an opportunity to experience firsthand what it is like to be a state trooper. Participants will ride along with a trooper during their regular shift and observe the day-to-day operations of the Indiana State Police.
Who is eligible?
The Ride-Along Program is open to any Indiana resident who is at least 18 years of age and has a valid driver's license.
How do I sign up?
To sign up for the Ride-Along Program, please contact your local Indiana State Police post. You will need to provide your name, address, phone number, and date of birth. You will also be asked to complete a brief background check.
What should I expect?
During your ride-along, you will observe the trooper's daily duties, including traffic stops, accident investigations, and criminal investigations. You will also have the opportunity to ask the trooper questions about their work and the Indiana State Police.
